Backpacking Camp Stove

Backpack Cooking in Switerzland.?

Hello guys, Im off to Switerzland for 2 weeks, but before i go, i want to make myself a 12day menu.

Any anyone give me any suggestions of what i could cook?

Seeing as ill be cooking on a gas camp stove, and wont have a full range of resources to cook with.

Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated.

My best advice is to get foods easily prepared. Pasta, dehydrated foods like instant potatoes, etc. When you get there pick up foods like you would use camping. Your main constraint is space and weight. Not sure if you'll be allowed to import dehydrated meals. If you can then go to Cabelas, Gander Mountain, REI, EMS, and get the meals prepackaged. They only require a pot, water, and heat. Not bad tasting either. Problem with Europe is that theyt are not as "outdoorsy" as we are. You may have to buy your food at a local swiss grocery store and pack that. Then canned foods, pasta, soups, drink mixes, dehydrated milk. etc. Hope this helps. remember atltitude effects how much gas it takes to boil water. Not like at normal altitude. Higher up more canned gas to use in your stove. Take care and Godspeed. Be safe and drink plenty of fluids. Altitude dehydrates you fater too.
